Change your phone number
With bitwallet, you can easily change your registered phone number at any time. If you have more than one phone number, you can register up to two phone numbers.
This section explains the procedure for changing your phone number.
1. Select “Settings” (①) from the menu, and click “Change” (②) in “Contact 1” and “Contact 2” section under “Account”.
2. The “Add or Edit Contact Information” screen will appear with the currently registered phone number and the “Answer of current secret question” input screen.
3. After selecting “Country Code”, enter your new “Phone Number (Mobile Number)” (①) and “Answer of current secret question” (②), then click “Next” (③).
Please register a mobile phone number that can receive short messages as a contact number, as SMS verification is required when changing phone number.
If the phone cannot receive short messages, it will not be able to pass SMS authentication. Also, if you register multiple contact numbers, SMS authentication will be performed with the first phone number registered.
4. A confirmation code will be sent to the newly registered number via SMS, and the “Add or Edit Contact Information” confirmation screen will appear.
After confirmation, enter the code and click the “Save” button.
5. When “Contact Changed Successfully” is displayed, your phone number change is complete. Click “Back to Top”.
6. When “Basic Information” on the “Settings” screen appears, please confirm that the phone number in the “Contact” section has been changed.
7. After the phone number change is completed, an email titled “Change of registered information (customer information) is completed” will be sent to your registered email address.
For security reasons, the email will not contain the details of the change.
