Change your email address

bitwallet allows you to change your email address 6 months after you have registered your account.
After completing the change procedure on the “Settings” page, click on the link that will be sent to your new email address to complete the change.

This section explains the procedure for changing your email address.


1. Select “Settings” (①) from the menu, and click “Change” (③) in “Email Address” under “Security” (②).

If it has been less than 6 months since you registered your account or less than 6 months since your last change, you cannot change your new email address.

2. On the “Change of email address” screen, confirm that the current registered email address is displayed in “Verified E-mail Address” (①), enter the “New E-mail Address” (②), and then click “Next” (③).

3. Confirm the changes on the confirmation screen.
Enter the “Authentication Code” (①) for 2-Factor Authentication and click “Send confirmation email” (②).

If you have not set up 2-Factor Authentication, enter “Secure ID” (①) instead of “Authentication Code” and click “Send confirmation email” (②).

4. When the message “Sent Successfully” is displayed, a “E-mail Address Reset Link” will be sent to the email address you wish to change.
Click “Close”.

5. An email with titled “E-mail Address Reset Link” will be sent to the email address you wish to change.
The email will include a link to confirm your email address. Click on the link to confirm your email address.

The link to change your email address expires within one hour after the link is sent. If the link to change your email address has expired, please change your email address from the beginning again.

6. When the “Have confirmed your email address.” screen appears, the email address change is complete. Click “Sign In” to proceed to the Summary screen.

7. Select “Settings” (①) and confirm that your email address (③) has been changed in “Security” (②).

8. After the change is completed, an email titled “Change of registered information (customer information) is completed” will be sent to the email address after the change.
For security reasons, the email will not contain the details of the change.
