A gold card is a card with a higher grade of service than a regular credit card. The card is called a gold card because of its gold-colored face.

The annual fee for a general card ranges from free to 5,000 yen, while the annual fee for a gold card is generally around 10,000 yen.

The main feature of a gold card is that its credit limit is larger than that of a general credit card. While general cards have a maximum limit of about 1 million yen, gold cards have a maximum limit of about 2 million yen.

In addition, although the content differs depending on the issuing company, it is common to receive services such as “free use of airport lounges”, “preferential point system” and “preferential treatment at restaurants”.
