A classic card is one way to refer to a credit card. It can be used to describe the rank of the card, like gold card or platinum card.
A basic-rank credit card, also called a standard card, white card, or general card. It is used for proprietary cards issued solely by international brand credit card companies, and is not used for co-branded credit cards.
There are only three brands of proprietary cards in Japan: JCB, American Express, and Diners Club. Therefore, a classic card, which is the basic rank, also leads to great social credibility.
In particular, the “American Express” and “Diners Club” classic cards are said to have the same status as the gold cards of other companies.
