The insurance service that comes with a credit card when it is issued is called supplementary insurance. The card issuer is the policyholder and the cardholder is the insured, and this service is provided as a benefit when signing up for a credit card.

There are four main types of insurance: overseas travel insurance, domestic travel insurance, flight delay insurance, and shopping insurance.

There are two types of supplementary insurance: automatic and incidental. Automatic insurance means that insurance is also contracted simply by signing up for the card, and there is no need to pay premiums afterwards.

In contrast, supplementary coverage is coverage that is not activated by the card contract alone, but is activated only when the travel expenses, etc. are paid using the card with which the contract was concluded.
