3D Secure is an authentication system developed by ViISA International for secure credit card transactions over the Internet. 3D Secure is used by VISA, MasterCard, and JCB, and is collectively called 3D Secure, although the name differs for each brand.

Traditionally, credit card payments over the internet could be made only with the information on the credit card, such as the card number and expiration date.

However, when you use a credit card that supports 3D Secure, you will be authenticated with a password that only you know. This prevents unauthorized use by a third party or identity theft through the theft of credit card information.

In order to use 3D Secure, you must provide the necessary information to your credit card company and register in advance.
